Oromia International Bank S.C held a day-long semi-annual Management meeting on 25th January 2020 at United Nations Conference Center, here in Finfinne. OIB’s Senior Management, District and Division Managers and Branch Managers convened to evaluate the six months operational performance against the plan and discuss the achievements and challenges. President of Oromia International Bank S.C Obbo Abie Sano in his opening remark emphasized the need to be focused as the awaiting task will be tougher to meet the target plan of the year in the remaining six months. Vice President- Strategy and Change Management Obbo Jote Kenate presented the semi-annual corporate performance report of the Bank. The report also highlighted the Global and local economy, overview of industry trend in operational areas, specifically private Banks in Ethiopia.
The report indicates the position of OIB in key performance indicators such as deposit, foreign currency mobilization, profit, market share and others. The participants discussed the challenges encountered over the last six months and forwarded various way outs. The Senior Management also reacted to questions raised from the participants. The Bank’s Board of Directors members also called for the unwavering and consorted effort to put the bank on the position it deserves.
